"We like our children to be happy, confident,
enthusiastic and to have lots of fun. We hope to preserve and develop
that curiosity and joy shown by the young child."

| Once they are 3, the children follow a foundation stage
curriculum designed to meet National Standards of care for children
in nursery care. We work on the principle that children learn through
play and that children will only learn if their activities are exciting
and fun. The planning of activities are theme based and help the children
to work towards meeting the early learning goals as set out by the
Government. These are available for parents to read on the parents
notice board. |

"A good range of planned, first hand activities and
competent teaching ensures that children's investigation and exploration
of their world is particularly good."

The children have records of achievement
to share with parents and to take to school with detailing what stage
they are at in all areas of learning. Parents are encouraged to support
their children by coming into the nursery, looking at displays, bringing
items in from home when requested, helping on outings.,etc etc etc. |
" Children speak well and fluently as a result of
the staff's consistent interest and support."
